The popular Lugana wine is a dry white wine produced in the region between Lombardy and Veneto. The cultivation area extends around the towns of Sirmione, Desenzano del Garda, Loanto del Garda, Pozzolengo and Peschiera del Garda on southern Lake Garda.It is mainly produced from the ‘Trebbiano di Lugana’ grape variety and is a protected DOC wine. In other words, a controlled origin. Lugana is also available as ‘Spumante’.
